Expertise

Geology

I am an isotope geochemist and use radiogenic isotopes (Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd systems) as a tool to understand evolution of the solid Earth through time. This has provided me opportunities to work in greenstone belt rocks from Dharwar Craton, South India to understand the Archean crustal evolution of the Craton. I also worked on 234U/238U and 235U/238U isotope ratio measurement using MC-ICP-MS in soil and water samples from Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident area, Japan.
